One sentence: junk journal, don't submit here! (unless you are scamming) The first time I heard about this journal was in 2014, when a friend who works in a hospital but didn't really know how to do experiments spent about 2-3 weeks doing a chip, a WB, and a flow cytometry experiments and wrote a paper with 3 figures. After submission to this journal, the paper got accepted within one month without revision. At that time, the impact factor was 6.9. It was very shocking at the time and I felt that this journal was a bit problematic! However, I still recommended this journal to many friends who work in hospitals. After all, the journal was fast and the impact factor was high. I didn’t expect that several friends had their papers accepted there without revision, all in half a year! Now almost every doctor in hospitals has published one or more articles there; everyone is using it to get degrees or get awards! Every graduate on the job market perhaps also list one such paper on their resume! Last year, the National Science Foundation asked people to be cautions with publishing in OT and Sc Re. Many hospitals in Beijing and Shanghai have blacklisted this journal regarding recruitment and rewards. A journal that just takes any paper, this is even worse than PLoS One! Of course, many people still want to try publishing there before its impact factor goes down, but think carefully whether this is really good for you.
